Hello , My name is Omar Reyna Flores. I have been using photography as a medium of representation for some years now. I have reach a point in which I feel the need to add to my art practice a new element from which to grow, and for me that becomingness is trough sculpture.
The above image is part of my visual research of my lates photo project “Perishable Corporality“. This image did not make it to the final selection of the project, however it represents the beginning of sculptural objects in my art practice.
I developed “Perishable Corporality” while studying Contemporary Photography at NODE Center, (fantastic learning centre, highly recommended). This course “Sculpture 1: Starting out in 3D” is offered by OCA and it is my first course with this very-very promised place to learn, so I’m quite trill.
